The Holmen Area Rotary Club (HARC) is looking for students interested in living abroad for a year. The La Crosse Area Rotary Clubs have sponsored dozens of students over the years. These students have enjoyed a unique experience of attending high school while living in another country. The Rotary International exchange program involves over 10,000 high school students living nearly a year abroad. This is a life changing experience and many say it has been the best year of their life. The Holmen Area Rotary Club has sponsored at least one outbound and inbound student a year until the program was suspended due to Covid. The program is being restarted and HARC plans to sponsor a School District of Holmen student for the 2022-23 school year. If you know of a student that might be interested, they and their parents should attend the informational meeting being held Wednesday September 22nd at 6:30 PM at the Children's Museum of La Crosse, 207 5th Ave. South, La Crosse. Students should be sophomore to senior at the time of application and 16-181/2 when they depart for their assigned country. Freshmen students are encouraged to attend to learn about the program.
