At the February 28th Holmen Area Rotary Club meeting, the club unveiled their "Teacher of the Month" project. The club has been honoring outstanding Holmen High School Students with their "Student of the Month" and felt that it would be good to also honor the outstanding educators in the Holmen Elementary School system. Holmen Elementary Students can nominate their special teacher by filling out and submitting a short and simple questionnaire on why they feel their nominated educator is special. For February, Student Lana B.'s nomination for her teacher, 2nd Grade Viking Elementary Teacher, Mike Kline was chosen by the Vocational Committee. Mike has been teaching in the Holmen School district for 20 years from Kindergarden to 5th grade. The Teacher of the Month is awarded some cool swag and also $200 that they can use for something special in their classroom. Congratulations Mike, for making a memorable difference in your student's school experience!
