Holmen's Hope honored by Foundation
The Holmen Area Foundation presented two awards at its sixth annual community breakfast held April 21.
Beverly Rott received the Fred Frick Servant Leadership Award.
Rott is the chairperson for Holmen's Hope, a collaborative effort to provide practical help to those in need and to encourage and spark hope in the Holmen community. The organization is focusing on three projects: providing a monthly meal, a scheduled free laundry facility and offering school supplies and brown bag lunches to students during the summer months.
Collaborating organizations include the Holmen Area Rotary Club, Point of Grace Community Church, the TLC Center, Halfway Creek Lutheran Church, North Country Steak Buffet and the Holmen American Legion.
