The Holmen Area Rotary Club was chartered in February 2007 with 27 members. The club currently has approximately 40 members. Holmen Rotary has excelled in each of the four avenues of service in its brief history. The club has won the area International Service Award three consecutive years. First for its efforts in youth exchange and then for helping to start and maintain a clean water project in Lima Peru. Holmen Rotary established a Service Auction event in the spring of 2009, for which it received the local Club Service Award. Members of the club auctioned off their personal services ranging from boat rides, to lawn mowing, to cooking dinners, to automobile detailing. This created a fun event for the community and a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our club's projects. The Community Service Committee has coordinated several events including highway cleanup, Holmen Holiday Lights, and trail cleanup. They are also coordinating the club's efforts to present an antique four face clock to the Village of Holmen in the newly renovated Halfway Creek Park. The Vocational Service Committee has established an annual scholarship program at Holmen High School. They have also compiled biographies of all current club members so local students have a resource for contacts related to potential employment fields.
